Senior year started off with a splash as some "friends" (Katy, Karina, Leslie, Je-Yi, Caroline) dressed up in black (complete with face paint) and kidnapped me in the middle of the night from my couch and promptly dumped me blindfolded and all into the fountain by the MLB. You should see the pictures. I can still "see" Je-Yi running around with Katy's little boom box playing the Mission Impossible theme. Dope.
After that auspicious debut for senior year, Jimmy and my sister came up for our 21st birthday and got to see funKtion (the new all guys dance group we had just formed) perform for the very first time at Festifall.
The RICE Girls had now became the Wilmot Girls (Leslie, Karina, Je-Yi, Caroline) and they lived right next door to Lynn (who lived with Connie and Chrissy, who for some reason i had never really known before). They had a huge apartment with a wonderful couch upon which i would spend many hours over the course of my last year.
Sher Wing lived right across the hall at Carriage House so i got to see her almost daily for awhile but Brian and Hong had moved to the other side of campus on Catherine Street. Eric Shih started hanging out with us alot and he conveniently lived right near Hong and Brian (and a Jimmy Johns).
A weekend trip to Dave's house (Brian and Hong's roommate and friends since my sophmore year) with Monique, Summer, Brian, Sher Wing and Jen was a highlight because Dave lived by a big lake and we got to spend a couple of sunny days lounging and tubing and riding around on a speedboat.
Julia held a blow out party early in the year and from there on in, dancing was the sun that senior year revolved around. Nights became occupied by dance practices in Angell or East Hall and Huaren eventually geared up around November.
At the end of junior year, I had gotten interested in video editing (mainly through knowing Porta, Gus, Alvin and the rest of Matrix) and spent time in the computer lab practicing on the Avid machines. This would eventually lead to me coming to New York to pursue something related to the entertainment industry. But that's another story.
Oh yes, and how could i forget. Senior year was also about Tetris. Four players. If you've played with us, you know what i'm talking about. Blocks baby.
