St. Patty's day party tommorrow at my new house in Scripps Ranch.
Must wear green. We're going to have midori sours, melonballs, margaritas, tokyo teas, and most importantly green beer! Be there or be square! Muhahaha.

80/20.
I believe I may have written about this rule before, but well, I've recently thought more about it. The 80/20 rule is, well its not really a rule but more of a pseudo rule, like Murphy's Law or Occam's Razor, a rule of thumb. The 80/20 is just a pattern that people have seen in systems or social groups, the most famous of which they preach about the workforce, where 80% of the work is performed by 20% of the workforce. Or like the world's money, 80% of the world's wealth is controlled by 20% of the population. The rule itself implies that 80/20 is a natural and de facto equilibrium. Why this works I dunno but its seems eerily true.
But anyways, the specific topic that I thought about was actually dating. I believe that 80% of dating is done by 20% of the dating pool. Sounds reasonable? It doesn't mean that most people don't date, just not as often.
I remember when Josh what's his face starred in that movie 40 days and 40 nights? The whole I'm going to be celibate for a month movie? I'm not ashamed to admit publicly that the entire premise of that movie pissed me off. Why? Because, there have been times in my life where 40 days of celibacy was a mere state of being, not a choice. T.T
Ok rant is over, but going back to the theory(btw, I'm currently with someone right now, so this isn't the bitter single person rant ~_^).
Dating is like job interviews. Sometimes if you're specific, (I'm looking for a VMF engineer that understand 1553, or I love Death Cab for a Cutie but I feel for Postal Service) you could meet the right person right away. Or stuck waiting a long time. In fact people often genericize and simplfy themselves for the dating. I like all types of music, oh I pretty much like all types of food. What I don't like? Hmm pain, you too? Oh my god, we have soo much in common!
All in all its mostly a crapshoot.
Deep down, everyone believes in the Cinderella fairy tale, guys and girls a like. Despite our faults, we hope that we would be forgiven and even commended in the face of them. We want what is beautiful despite the reality that we are not.
